Materials about Indiana and books written by Hoosier authors comprise this collection. While many of these books may be used only in the library, there are some that are allowed to circulate for two weeks.
The cut-glass window seen in this room was removed from the former Carnegie library building and remains on permanent view for our patrons' enjoyment.
Two file cabinets contain brochures, pamphlets, and newspaper clippings about Indiana and Fulton County. Of special interest are these books which may be used for genealogy searches:
Fulton County Cemetery Records
Fulton County Births & Marriages
School Enumeration Records
Index to Obituaries
Index to The Rochester Sentinel.
Rochester Telephone Books
McClurg Civil War Index
1883 & 1907 Fulton County Atlases
Rochester High School Yearbooks 1907 to Present
Newspapers on Microfilm:
The Rochester Sentinel. & Kewanna Observer
Federal Census Records
While we try to provide a balanced and extensive collection, we realize that we are unable to purchase all materials. Through the ILL service, patrons are able to borrow those items not available locally.
